The Philanthropic Educational Organization is pleased to announce its Zoom presentation by Linda Gartz about her award-winning book, Redlined: A Memoir of Race, Change, and Fractured Community in 1960s Chicago,
Linda will talk about the vast family archives that inspired Redlined and the consequences of the racist government policy of redlining (refusing loans in certain geographic areas, usually with primarily Black and Brown residents) still with us today.
