Join author, educator, and archivist, Linda Gartz, for a discussion of her award-winning book Redlined: A Memoir of Race, Change, and Fractured Community in 1960s Chicago.
Redlined interweaves a riveting family story with the history of redlining. In this live Zoom talk, Linda will connect the dots between today’s racial profiling and inequities to the government policy of redlining that segregated America into Black and white. She’ll read snippets of the family archives that inspired Redlined and share digitized versions of 1940s redlining maps. Plenty of time for Q&A.

To purchase the book, visit your local independent book store or order from Winnetka’s The Book Stall or Chicago’s Semicolon Bookstore & Gallery.
